Robert William, Tanrallt, Abererch, Yeoman : Will 1788.
In the name of God Amen.I Robert William of Tanrallt in the Parish of Aberach in the County of Carnarvon, Yeoman, being weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding blessed be Almighty God for the same do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say).
First I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Richard Williams of Pwllheli in the said County, Grocer the sum of Three pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain.
Also I give and bequeath to my Nephew William Williams of Pennarth in the parish of Llanarmon in the said County, Farmer the sum of Three pounds of like lawful money.
Also I give and bequeath unto my Nephew the Reverend William Williams of Tyn y coed in the parish of Aberach aforesaid in the said County Aberach the sum of Two pounds of like lawful money.
Also I give and bequeath to Jane Thomas the wife of William Simon of Plas Llanarmon in the parish of Llanarmon aforesaid in the County, Yeoman the sum of Two pounds of like lawful money.
Also I give and bequeath to Ann Thomas the wife of Morris Elias of Llwyndyrus in the parish of Aberach aforesaid in the said County, Yeoman the sum of One pound of like lawful money.
Which said several Legacies or Sums of Money I Will and order to be paid to the said respective Legatees by my Executrix hereinafter named within twelve months next after my decease.
And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my personal Estate Goods Chattels and Effects of what nature or kind soever the same shall consist of at the time of my decease (after payment of my just debts legacies and funeral expenses) I give and bequeath the same to my beloved wife Lowry Williams whom I hereby nominate and appoint sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament.
Hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Twenty second day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty seven. Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Testator Robert William as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto (the words “Clerk wife being first underlined).
