Robert Thomas, Rhydygwystl, Abererch, Miller : Will 1783.

In the name of God Amen.

On the twelveth day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty three I Robert Thomas of Rhydygwystil, alias Melin Rhydygwystil in the Parish of Abererch, alias Abereirch, in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, Miller being sick of body but of sound mind memory and understanding do institute and appoint publish and declare this Instrument, or writing, as and for my last Will and Testament which I make in form and manner following. That is to say. Imprimis.

I give and bequeath unto my brother William Thomas of Pentrefrow, Shopkeeper, the sum of Fifteen pounds, British Money, to be paid within six months, by my Executrix hereafter named after my decease.

I give and bequeath unto my brother Evan Thomas of the Parish of Llanfrothen the like sum of Fifteen pounds, British Money, to be paid him by my Executrix to be hereinafter named, within six months after my decease.

As to the rest and residue that is, over and above the thirty pounds which I give and bequeath unto and between my two brothers that is, as to the remainder of all of all my Goods and Chattels of what sort nature and quality soever they may be after my decease, I give and bequeath the same, all and singular thereof unto my dear and loving wife Anne Roberts, whom I nominate and appoint Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, for her sole use, support and maintenance, during the term of her natural life and after the death or decease of the said Anne Roberts, my Executrix aforesaid, it is my will and pleasure that they (my effects) be equally divided between John Prichard, Miller and Robert Prichard , Miller, my wifes' Nephews without partiality for or affection. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Testator Robert Thomas as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who have in his presence and at his request in the presence of each other subscribed our names and hands as witnesses thereunto.

September 22nd 1783. On which day the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the Executrix within named, she being first sworn as the Law directs, saving etc.

A true and perfect Inventory of the Goods and Chattels of Robert Thomas of Rhydygwystil in the Parish of Abererch, Miller lately deceased made the 22nd day of September 1783.
