Simon Hughes, Bryntany, Abererch, Yeoman : Will 1780.

In the name of God Amen.

I Simon Hughes of Bryntany in the Parish of Aberach in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, Yeoman being in good health and plight of body God be praised and of sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding do make publish and declare my last Will and Testament in the manner and form following (that is to say).

First I give and bequeath unto my son William Simon the sum of Five shillings of Lawful British Money.

Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Simon the like sum of Five shillings of Lawful British Money.

Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elinor Simon the like sum of Five shillings of Lawful British Money.

Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Jane Simon the like sum of Five shillings of Lawful British Money.

My Wills they be paid respectively within Twelve months next after my Decease and also the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate and effects what nature kind or quality the same shall happen to be at the time of my Death I give and bequeath unto my Dearly beloved wife Elinor Williams whom I nominate and appoint Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made do publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty seventh day of February in the year of our Lord 1778.

Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Testator Simon Hughes as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request have subscribed our names as witnesses hereunto

On which day the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law passed valid and Administration granted to the Executrix within named, she being first sworn as the Law directs, saving etc.
before me R Owen Surrogate.

A true and perfect inventory of all the Goods Chattels Wares and Merchandises as well as moveable or not moveable of Simon Hughes of Abererch in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, deceased made by us whose names are hereunto subscribed the 25th day of February in thr year of our Lord 1780.
