Elizabeth Lewis, Abererch, Widow : Will 1775.
In the name of God Amen.I Elizabeth Lewis of Abererch in the County of Carnarvon Widow being sick and weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding Do make ordain publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following.
That is to say, first of all, I give and bequeath unto my Brother Robert Lewis of the Parish of Llanaber in the County of Merioneth Yeoman the sum of Twenty Shillings of … and lawful money of Great Britain.
Also, I give and bequeath unto my sister Lowry Lewis of Bodriala in the County of Carnarvon Widow the like sum of Twenty Shillings of like Lawful Money.
Also, I give and bequeath unto my sister Catherine the wife of Richard Robert yeoman the like sum of Twenty Shillings of like Lawful Money.
Also as to for and concerning all the Rest, Residue and remainder of my Goods, Chattels and Personal Effects whatsoever, wheresoever or of what nature kind or quality soever the same shall happen to … to consist of at the time of my decease (after payment of my just Debts, Legacies and Funeral Expenses).
I give and bequeath the same unto and among my Nieces Elizabeth the wife of John William of Bodriala aforesaid Weaver and Elizabeth the Daughter of the said John William and the said Elizabeth his wife whom I do hereby nominate make ordain constitute and appoint Co-Executors of this my Last Will and Testament. And I do hereby revoke and make void all other Will and Wills by me at any time or times heretofore made and I do declare this...to be my Last Will and Testament. In witness whereof ... named Testatrix Elizabeth Lewis have hereunto set my hand and seal this Thirty first day of January in the fourteenth year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy four. Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Testatrix Elizabeth Lewis on and for her Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto in the presence of the said Testatrix and in the presence of each other.

On the 5th Day of January in the year of our Lord 1775 the within written will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to Elizabeth the wife of John William of Bodriala which one of the within appointed Co-Executrix, the other being a minor, she being first personally sworn on the holy Evangelist as the Law directs by me.
