Griffith Samuel, Aber-erch, : Will 1765.

In the name of God Amen.

I Griffith Samuel of the Parish of Abereirch, County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory do make publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following :

First I give and bequeath to my daughter Catherine Griffith the sum of five pounds with all my wearing apparel.

I give and bequeath to my Grandaughter Jane Richard daughter of my son Richard Griffith the sum of twenty shillings to be paid … at Michelmas Day being on the 29th day of September in the year 1772 is she lives so long, but if she happens to die before she reaches the age of fifteen years they are to be equally divided between the children of my Daughter Catherine Griffith.

I give and bequeath to my son in law Robert Thomas the sum of five pounds which were due to him from the Goods and Chattels of his father Thomas Roberts lately deceased.

I give and bequeath all the rest residue and surplusage of my Goods, Chattels, Credits and Personal Estate after my debts legacies and other charges paid and satisfied unto my wedded wife Lowry Roberts who I do make constitute and ordain Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament, revoking and making void all former Wills and Testaments by me made and this only to be taken … and deemed for and by me my last Will and Testament. In testimony whereof I the said Griffith Samuel the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal September the Sixteenth in the year of our Lord 1764. Signed sealed published and delivered by the said Griffith Samuel the Testator for and to be his Last Will and Testament in our presence and by us at his request attested and subscribed in his presence.

February 2nd 1765. The within written was insunuated proved approved and decreed valid in common form of Law and Administration granted to the Executrix therin named, she being first personally sworn as the Law directs, everyone's right being saved and reserved before me John Thomas Surrogate A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods, Cattle, Chattels and Credits and personal Estate of Griffith Samuel lately deceased in the parish of Abereirch County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor being made and appraised January 26th 1765.
