John Humphrey, Aber-erch, Yeoman : Will 1762.
In the name of God Amen.I John Humphrey of the Parish of Abererch County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, Yeoman being sick and weak in body but mindful of my mortality, do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament as for touching and concerning my Goods, Cattle, Chattels, Credits and Personal Estate in manner and form following.
First I give and bequeath to my eldest son William Jones the sum of one pound ten shillings.
I give and bequeath to my son Humphrey Jones the sum of one pound.
I give and bequeath to my son Owen Jones the sum of one pound.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Jonnet Jones the sum of one pound and chest …
I give and bequeath to my son John Jones the sum of five pounds.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Jane Jones the like sum of five pounds.
I give and bequeath to my daughter in law Gwen Ellias the sum of one shilling.
I give and bequeath to my daughter in law Mary Ellias the sum of one shilling.
I give and bequeath the rest residue and surplusage of my Goods, Cattle, Chattels, Credits and Personal Estate after my debts legacies and other charges paid and satisfied unto my wedded wife Jane Ellis whom I do make constitute and ordain to be Executrix of this my Will and Testament revoking and making void all former Wills and Testaments by me made and this only to be taken stand and deemed for and to be my last Will and Testament. In testimony whereof I the said John Humphrey the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal the 23 day of August in the year of our Lord 1762.
Signed sealed published and declared by the said John Humphrey the Testator for and to be his Last Will and Testament in our presence and by us at his request attested and subscribed in his presence.

On the 23rd day of September in the year of our Lord 1762 the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the Executrix within named, she being first sworn on the holy Evangelists as the Law directs
before me John Jones Surrogate.
A true and perfect Inventory of the Goods, Cattle, Chattels, Credits and personal Estate of John Humphrey of Scubor Fawr lately deceased in the Parish of Abererch County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor made ans subscribed 18th September in the year of our Lord 1762.
