Richard Maurice, Tyddun-y-Cestyll, Abererch, : Will 1732.

In the name of God Amen. I Richard Maurice of Tyddun-y-Castyll in the parish of Abererch in the County of Carnarvan, Yeoman being of perfect memory and remembrance prayed be God, do make and ordain this last Will and Testament in manner and form following viz.

First. I bequeath my soul unto the hands of Almighty God my maker, hoping through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ, my only saviour and redeemer to receive his pardon and forgiveness of all my sins, and for my body to be buried in Christian burial at the discretion of my Executrix here after nominated.

And also as for touching and concerning the disposition of all my worldly goods and chattels, debts and demands whatsoever.

I give bequeath and dispose thereof as follows, Imprimus.

I give, bequeath and dispose unto brother Griffith Maurice the sum of one shilling.

Item. I give, bequeath and dispose unto my brother Elias Maurice the sum of one shilling.

Item. I give, bequeath and dispose unto my sister Anne Maurice the sum of one shilling.

Item. I give, bequeath and dispose unto my sister Elizabeth Maurice the sum of one shilling.

Item. I give, bequeath and dispose unto my niece Lowry Humphrey the sum of twenty shillings.

All the rest and residue of my worldly goods and chattels and cattle and all demand whatsoever I give unto my dear wife Margaret Ellis upon condition that she shall pay all my debts, loyalties and funeral expenses and make her sole Executrix of my last Will and Testaments revoking all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made…

In witness whereof I the said Richard Maurice have here unto set my hand, seal, published and delivered thy for and to be my last will and testament this first day of September in the year of our Lord Christ Seventeen hundred and thirty and two…………………1732.
