Evan Williams, Aberdaron, Blacksmith : Will 1853.

In the name of God Amen.

I Evan Williams of the village of Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon, Blacksmith being weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding do this fifteenth day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty three (1853) make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following.

I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Catherine Evans all my personal estate and effects of whatever the same shall be at my death, during her natural life and after her decease I give and bequeath the three houses to my brother William Evans, (viz) the one where I live and the two others the one is held by Catherine Williams and the other by Griffith Jones, both in the village of Aberdaron.

Also I give and bequeath the Smith Shop to my sister Ann Evans after the decease of my beloved wife afore said if then living during her natural life and after her decease I give and bequeath the Smith Shop to Evan Williams the son of my brother William Evans afore said.

I do nominate constitute and appoint my said wife sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all and every other Will or Wills at any time heretofore made by me and to declare this to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written, signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Evan Williams as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the twenty seventh day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three the within written will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of law decreed valid and administration granted to the within named Executrix Catherine Evans, she being first sworn in common form of law and that the whole of the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £100. before me Thomas Jones Surrogate

The deceased died on the 17th day of February 1853.
