Richard Jones, Plas, Aberdaron, Shopkeeper : Will 1849.
In the name of God Amen.I Richard Jones Plas in the Parish of Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon, Shopkeeper, being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind memory and understanding do make and publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. Viz.
I do give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Jones whom I likewise constitute make and ordain the Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament of all and singular Goods Chattels Cattle Shop Goods and all other property that is belong to me credits and effects and that the said Mary Jones, my beloved wife will possessed and enjoyed all that are above written and disburse to my children that is to say to my son Griffith and to my son William and to my son John and to my daughter Claudia and my daughter Hannah according to her own will and discretion when they shall be in need of any help any sum that my beloved wife shall think proper.
But if such a thing shall happen that my wife Mary shall remarry with some other man my Will is that all my property above named shall be shared between my said children, each to have equal shares.
Except all the moneys that is due to me from a secured deed on Ty Canol in the Parish of Rhiw my Will is that my wife Mary shall possess and enjoy them said secured property to her own use and then my Will and desire is that William Jones Bryn in the Parish of Aberdaron and Robert Evans Methlem in the said Parish shall act as trustees to my said children in case my wife shall remarry.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 13th day of December in the year of our Lord 1848.
Signed sealed published and declared by the said Richard Jones as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names.

On the 4th day of April 1849 the within written Will was insinuated proved and approved and in common from of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Executrix Mar Jones, she being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £600.

The deceased died the 22nd day of January 1849.
A true and perfect Inventory of the propertied of Richard Jones Aberdaron Shopkeeper in the County of Aberdaron and in the Diocese of Bangor deceased on or abour 22nd day of January in the year of our Lord 1849 appraised by the undermentioned individuals on the 10th day of March 1849.
