Owen Jones, Bodernabwy, Aberdaron, Farmer : Will 1848.

The fifth day of September in the year of our Lord 1848.

I Owen Jones of Bodernabwy in the Parish of Aberdaron, Farmer, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in the manner following.

I give and bequeath to my dear wife all that I may br possessed of at my death to be enjoyed by her during the term of her natural life.

After her decease my will is that all the stock and furniture on Bodernabwy Farm and all she may be possessed of at her death be divided equally between my three dear children, Catherine, Mary and William.

The small tenement I have called Nhegraig, I give and bequeath one moiety of it to my eldest daughter Catherine and her heirs for ever and the other half of it I give between my daughter Mary and my son William, share and share alike, and to their heirs for ever.

Finally I appoint constitute and ordain my dear wife Lowry Jones to be Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Owen Jones as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us the subscribers.

On the eighth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight, the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Lowry Jones, Widow, and Sole Administratrix, she being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods Chattels Effects and Credits of the said deceased Owen Jones, do not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds.
Before me William Williams Surrogate.

The Testator died on the 5th day of September 1848.

Inventory of the effects of Owen Jones, late of Bodernabwy, Farmer made this 24th day of November 1848.
