John Griffith, Tyn rhos, Aberdaron, Farmer : Will 1836.

In the name of God Amen.

I John Griffith of Tynrhos in the Parish of Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer being advanced in years and infirm in my body but of perfect mind memory and understanding do make and publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. Viz.

I do give and bequeath to my son John Jones, Mariner the sum of Five Pounds to be paid from my moveable estate by my executrix herein after named.

Also I do give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth who I likewise constitute make and ordain the sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament and all and singular goods cattle and chattels and farming stock house furniture credits and effects and that the said Elizabeth my beloved wife will possessed and enjoyed all that are above written.

Also my lands on Rhoshirwaen common and the building erected thereon or lands and premises situate on the said common and lying in the Parish of Aberdaron I do give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth during her natural life to be possessed and enjoyed by her freely and after her decease or when shall my wife Elizabeth dies my will is that all the above lands and premises shall or will be the property of Elizabeth Evans my wife's niece as I do give and bequeath the lands and premises to Elizabeth Evans above mentioned after my wife dies and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other testaments wills legacies bequests and executors by me in any wise before named willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament and in witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and thirty six.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said John Griffith as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names.

On the 31st day of December in the year of our Lord 1836, the within written Will was insinuated, proved, approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Elizabeth Griffith Sole Executrix, she being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds.

A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods viz. Corn, Cattle, Implements and House Furniture of the late John Griffith, Tynrhos in the Parish of Aberdaron and in the County of Carnarvon, Deceased made and appraised this 28th of December in the year of our Lord 1836 by the undermentioned individuals.
