John Thomas, Ystohelig, Aberdaron, Gent : Will 1821.
In the name of God Amen.I, John Thomas of Ystohelig in the Parish of Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon, Gent being weak in health, but of sound mind memory and understanding considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say.
First of all I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Jane the sum of one hundred pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain.
Also I give bequeath unto my natural daughter Jonet Jones the sum of one hundred pounds of good and lawfull money of Great Britain.
I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint Richard Williams of Bodernabwy in the Parish of Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer and John Evans of Rhydybengan in the Parish of Llandegwning in the said County of Carnarvon, Farmer to be Trustees and Guardians to the said Jonet Jones an Infant and the Interest of the said one hundred pounds to be paid every year toward her maintenance and if the said Jonet Jones shall marry and have a child or children born in lawfull wedlock the said one hundred pounds is to be paid to the said Jonet Jones, and if the said Jonet Jones shall decease without issue I do hereby order and direct if my son Thomas Jones shall survive her the said Jonet Jones, that he shall take possession of the said one hundred pounds or his Executors, Administrators or Assigns.
Also I give and bequeath if my beloved wife Jane shall begotten with child or children at the time of my decease the sum of four hundred pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain to the said child or children to be shared, share and share alike.
And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my son Thomas Jones Executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Will and Wills by me heretofore made. And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint the aforesaid Richard Williams of Bodernabwy in the said Parish and said County and John Evans of Rhydybengan in the said Parish of Llandegwning and said County to be Trustees and Guardians to my said son Thomas Jones, an infant, until he shall exceed Twenty one years of age if he shall survive.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty Eighth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine.
Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Testator John Thomas as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto in the presence of the said Testator and in the presence of each other.

On the Tenth day of March in the year of our Lord 1821 personally approved Richard Williams of Bodernabwy in the Parish of Aberdaron in the Parish Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer, and John Evans of Rhydybengan in the Parish of Llandegwning in the said County, Farmer and alledged and made oath that John Thomas of Ystohelig in the parish of Aberdaron aforesaid, in the County aforesaid and Diocese of Bangor, Gent, departed this life on or about the twenty third day of May in the year 1813 having duly made and published his last Will and Testament in writing bearing date the 28th day of July 1809 and therein named and appointed Thomas Jones his infant son Executor of that his Will, who is still a Minor of abour 14 years of age, and by reason of his Nonage incapable to take upon him the Berthen of the Execution of the said Will - and they these appearers further alledge that they are Trustees and Guardians named and appointed by the said deceased in his said Will until his said son the Minor aforesaid shall fully attain the age of Twenty one years. Wherefore they pray that Letters of Administration of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased with the said Will annexed be granted to them as Trustees and Guardians as aforesaid to the said Minor on giving the usual security.
Let Administration with the said Will annexed pass as prayed to the said Richard Williams and John Evans, they being first personally sworn on the holy Gospels, as the Law directs, and that the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £300 (in the printed affidavit) Before me William Williams Surrogate.
