Griffith Matthew, Rhedynfra, Aberdaron, Farmer : Will 1837.
In the name of God Amen.I Griffith Matthew of Rhedynfra in the Parish of Aberdaron, in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer, being weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding, doth make publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say.
First I do give devise and bequeath to my daughter Mary Griffiths the sum of five shillings.
Second I do give devise and bequeath to my Granddaughter Elinor Griffiths the sum of ten shillings.
Third I do give devise and bequeath to my Granddaughter Elizabeth the sum of five shillings.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my 4 child, John, Hugh, Matthew and Jane, sole Executors share and share alike of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void every other Will or Wills heretofore by me made, declaring this to be my Last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this tenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six (1836).
Signed sealed published and declared by the said testator Griffith Matthew, as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses

On the Fourth day of March in the year of our Lord 1837, the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named John Griffith and Jane Griffith, two of the Executors (power reserved of the other two) they being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of Two hundred pounds.
