Evan Griffith, Tydynerin, Aberdaron, : Will 1815.

In the name of God Amen.

I Evan Griffith of Tydynerin in the Parish of Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon being very weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding do make publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following. Viz.

First I do give and devise all my Real Estate unto my Eldest son together with ten pounds sterling to be paid out of my stock by my Executrix herein after named.

I do give and bequeath unto my son John Evans the sum of fifteen pounds now in his hands borrowed previous to the date hereof together with seven pounds to be paid by my Executrix.

I do give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth the sum of ten pounds.

I do give and bequeath unto my daughter Anne the sum of eight pounds.

I do give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret the sum of four pounds and a cupboard now lying and being in the custody of William Hughes late shopkeeper who is my debtor and in case my said daughter Margaret cannot recover and … the cupboard my will is that she is to have twp pounds in lieu thereof out of my stock.

I do give and bequeath to my daughter Jane the sum of eight pounds and also my best chest and Iron pott.

I do give and bequeath to my daughter Ellin the sum of eight pounds and ten shillings.

I do give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Eleanor Jones the sum of twenty pounds to be paid out of my personal estate if she survives her mother.

Lastly I constitute nominate and appoint my daughter Mary now wife of John Daniel my Sole Executrix and residuary legatee of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other former Will or Wills by me heretofore made. In witness hereof I do hereby set my hand and seal the twenty third day of January in the year 1815.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator for and as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us whose names are hereunto subscribed the day and year first above written.

On the fourteenth day of June in the year of our Lord 1815 the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Executrix Mary Griffith, she being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £100.
