Maurice Luke, Aberdaron, Yeoman : Will 1760.
In the name of God Amen.I Maurice Luke of the Parish of Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon, Yeoman, being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and memory thanks be given unto God, therefore for calling unto mind the mortality of my body, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following.
I direct and commit my soul to God's mercy and my body to be carefully buried at the discretion of my Executor, hereafter named. And as touching my wordly effects I thus dispose of them. Imprimis.
I give and bequeath to my nephew Robert Jones one pound.
I give and bequeath to my niece Jane Jones one pound.
I give and bequeath to my nephew Richard William one pound.
I give and bequeath to my niece Ellin William one pound.
I give and bequeath to my niece Ann William one pound.
I give and bequeath to Maurice Thomas one pound.
I give and bequeath to Isaac, Mary and Ellin Thomas on pound to be divided in equal share among them and as for the rest and residue of my worldly estate.
I give and bequeath to Griffith William whom I appoint and ordain Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament revoking and disannul all former Wills made by me in writing. I declare this to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the ninth day of February in the year of our Lord 1760.
Signed sealed and declared in the presence of William Griffith and Richard Williams.
On the 21st day of May 1760 the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and deemed valid in common form of Law and Administration granted to the Executor therein named, he being first sworn as the Law directs (saving etc) before me Robert Jones. February 18th 1760.
A true and perfect Inventory made upon all the Goods and Chattels of Maurice Luke of the Parish of Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor lately deceased, valued and priced by the persons undersigned.
