Humphrey Jones, Ngelog, Aberdaron : Will 1800.
In the name of God, Amen.I Humphrey Jones of Ngelog in the Parish of Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon, being weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding, do make publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following viz.
First I do Give and Bequeath unto my loving wife Martha Prichard the sum of Three Pounds Thirteen Shillings and Six Pence now in the hands of Hugh Jones of Bod Isa.
I likewise Give and Bequeath unto my said Loving wife the sum of One Pound and one shilling now due to me from Robert Prichard of Penydre.
Also I Give and Bequeath to my wife the like sum of One Pound and one shilling due to me from Richard Hughes of Tyddyn y Cestill.
I likewise Give and Bequeath my loving wife the like sum of One Pound and one shilling now in the hands of Henry James Cae'r Geifr.
I likewise Give and Bequeath to my said wife the sum of Twelve Pounds and nineteen shillings lawfully due to me from John Prichard of Dauglawdd.
My wish is that my loving wife shall and may have the sum of One Pound Eleven and Six Pence now in the hands of my own Father John Probert.
I likewise Give and Bequeath to my wife the sum of One pound and one shilling now in the hands of my brother William Jones.
I also give and bequeath my wife the sum of Ten and six pence now in the hands of Elizabeth Ellis of Brynmawr.
I do give and bequeath to my brother William Jones the sum of Twenty Pounds now due to me from John Thomas of Nyffryn in the Parish of Llandudwen and likewise the sum of Twenty Pounds due to from Daniel Hughes of Bryneithin in the Parish of Aberdaron (In Trust) to be paid to my only dear child Mary Humphrey when she arrives to the age of sixteen years and my will further is that my loving wife shall and may have the Legal Interest of the said Forty Pounds by me bequeathed to my child for and during fourteen years towards the maintenance of my child and my will is that my wife shall and may have the sum of Two Pounds and one shilling now in the hands of the aforesaid John Thomas of Nyffryn beside and above the before mentioned sum of Twenty Pounds bequeathed to my child but if my said child shall die before her mother and not in wedlog my will is that Twenty Pounds of her legacy shall be divided equally between as many of my Brothers and Sisters as shall be then living .
And my will further is that my wife shall and will maintain sustain and keeping dear child Mary Humphrey till she arrives to the age of sixteen years and my will is that my said child shall and must be taught to Read Write and Sew at the cost of her mother.
Lastly I constitute nominate and appoint my said loving wife Martha prichard Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament and also my Residuary Legatee hereby revoking all other Wills by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I do hereby set my hand and seal the 3rd day of August 1799.
Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator for and as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us whose names are hereunto subscribed the day above written.

On the 26th day of October 1799 the wife of the other side of this sheet written was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to Martha Prichard the within appointed Executrix, she being first personally sworn on the holy Evangelists as the Law directs by me
