Richard Hughes, Gwthrian, Aberdaron : Will 1797.

In the name of God Amen.

I Richard Hughes of Gwthrian in the Parish of Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor being weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, Viz.

First, I do give and bequeath unto my son Griffith Prichard the sum of one pound one shilling.

I do give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Prichard the sum of three pounds which are now in the hands of her husband due to me.

I do give and bequeath unto my loving wife Catherine William and my son John Prichard whom I likewise constitute nominate and appoint the Sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament all and residue of my goods chattels my debts and demands freely to be possessed by them, share and share alike as Co partners and Co Executors, hereby revoking all other former Wills by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I do hereby set my hand and seal this 13th day of March 1795.

Signed sealed published and declared by the Testator for and as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the day and year first above written.

On the thirtieth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to Catharine William and John Prichard the within named Co Executors, they being first personally sworn on the holy Evangelists as the Law directs.

A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods and Chattels of Richard Hughes late of Gwthrian in the Parish of Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon valued and appraised this 23rd day of April 1796.
