Griffith Jones, Rhos y bela, Aberdaron, Yeoman : Will 1787.

In the name of God Amen.

I Griffith Jones of Rhos y bela in the parish of Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, Yeoman, being sick and weak in body but of sound mind, memory and understanding do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following.

First I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Jones one bed and bed clothes and the dresser and what belongs to it, and one wooden box with lock upon.

Also I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Jones the sum of thirty shillings a year, the said sum of thirty shillings I ordain to be paid yearly to my beloved wife Mary Jones.

Also I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Elizabeth Humphreys the sum of five pounds.

Also I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Katherine Humphreys the sum of five pounds.

Also I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Mary Humphreys the sum of five pounds.

The above mentioned sum to be paid unto each of my afore mentioned grand daughters at the age of one and twenty.

Also I give and bequeath to my afore mentioned grand daughter Mary Humphreys one heifer to be delivered unto her the day after my burial.

And I also constitute make and ordain my daughter Ellin Griffith my sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. To whom I give and bequeath all and every of my goods chattels dues and demands whersoever and whatsoever to be by her freely posseses and enjoyed.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventh day of March in the year 1786.

On the thirteenth day of January in the year 1787 the within written will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Executrix, she being first personally sworn on the holy Evangelists as the Law directs.
