Robert Gwalchmey, Bodermid Isa, Aberdaron, Farmer/Yeoman : Will 1781.
In the name of God Amen.I Robert Gwalchmey of the Parish of Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon, Yeoman, am weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in form and manner following, that is to say.
I give and bequeath the sum of ten shillings to my dear daughter Jane Roberts for her own use and benefit.
I give and bequeath the sum of ten shillings to my dear son Robert Roberts for his own use and benefit.
I give and bequeath the sum of twenty shillings to my dear daughter Martha Roberts for her own use and benefit.
The said three several sums above mentioned to be paid to my said three children, with all convenient speed after my decease by my Executor hereafter mentioned.
I give to my well beloved son Hugh Roberts, whom I likewise constitute make and appoint my only and Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, all and singular my Goods Household Stuff Cattle and Chattels to him freely to be possessed and enjoyed.
And I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and dis annull all and every other former Testament Wills and Legacies Requests and Executors, by me in any ways before this time named willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above mentioned.
Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Robert Gwalchmey as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us subscribers. Griffith Thomas Lewis Turnbridge
On the 27th day of September in the year of our Lord 1781, the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Executor, he being first personally sworn on the holy Evangelists as the Law directs by me J Jones Surrogate October the 3rd 1780.
A true count of the stock of Robert Gwalchmay, Farmer, late at Bodermid Isa who buried 2nd of this instant as in the manner following.
