William Griffith, Geufron, Aberdaron : Will 1776.
God's Will be done, Amen.I William Griffith of Geufron in the Parish of Aberdaron, County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, being of perfect memory and understanding, praised be God, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament as followeth.
First, I do hereby give and bequeath to my sister Gainor Griffith the sum of ten shillings.
Also, I give and bequeath to all the children of my brother John Griffith and the daughter of my sister Gainor Griffith, one shilling each.
Also. All the rest, residue and remainder of my Goods and Chattels, Rights and Profits and Personal Estate whatsoever or wherever with my lease upon this tenement of Geufron aforesaid I do hereby give devise and bequeath the same to my beloved wife Anne Jones as long as she lives and after her decease to John Jones and Jane Jones now being and living with me here at Geufron, willing and ordaining that Anne Jones my said wife shall and may possess and enjoy my said lease upon Geufron as aforesaid and all the rights and profits thereof, for the whole time it shall remain valid and good after my decease and after the death of the said Anne Jones I do give the same to the said John Jones and Jane Jones.
Lastly, I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Anne Jones Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other Wills heretofore made, and in witness that this my last Will and Testament I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 25th day of November 1776.
Signed sealed published and declared by the Testator as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us. James Roberts Griffith Thomas William Williams On the fifth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy six the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Executrix, she being first personally sworn in the holy Evangelists, as the Law directs, by me J Jones Surrogate.
A true and perfect Inventory made upon all the Goods Cattle and Chattels of William Griffith of Geufron in the Parish of Aberdaron in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, lately deceased valued and priced by persons under named December the 4th day 1776.
